The Greatest Religion

My last blog 'Brotherhood and Rivalry' got great appreciation but there were also a few who didn't agree with my thoughts - which is always welcomed. Also I want to thank those who gave their valid inputs, suggestions regarding the same. I wish to continue and add on the last topic with a bit more research. Those who haven't read the last blog please read that and then continue with this one.
Ever since Earth was formed it has naturally been divided into continents, selfishly into countries and foolishly (if I may say so) into religions. The major religions in the world includes Hinduism, Islam, Christianity and Buddhism. All these religions or religious groups  reside in India. We Indians have always been proudly boasting of our 'Unity in Diversity'. But do we actually practice it or is it just a phrase to be kept in a closet and used when the need arises. Each one of us must ask ourself this question.
People living in Maharashtra cannot tolerate people migrating from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and the likes. Even some dislike the South Indians for their looks and Bengalis and the Punjabis for their eating and drinking habits respectively. This way India has been divided by states.
Since time immemorial the Indian caste system is prevalent. Even if we just take an example of the Hindus, they have been divided into various sects according to their occupations. Whereas the Bramhins had the upper hand and the Shudras lived far off without even drinking water from the same well. Time has changed but the caste system is very much intact.  This way India has been divided into castes.
It's not just about India, world over there has been this discrimination and revolutions have been caused because of the same. In the west and in Africa people have been racially segregated and there have been violence for the same. In America when a Muslim enters he is thoroughly checked, in and out, in suspicion of a probable terrorist. Why label people? If you watch American shows you'll realize how Indians are made fun off, for our curries, Snake charmers, elephants and off course Hinduism. Well, don't we do the same thing and mock the Christians and people of other faith. If all religions teach the same thing why are there many of those? Why not only one - HUMANITY.
Humanity is being compassionate, benevolent, sympathetic, generous. This should be The Greatest Religion and not a mere word. Just give a poor old man a shawl on a cold night, help a blind to cross the road, a lift to a  person who's  standing in the hot sun awaiting the bus to arrive ,feed the beggers and the animals. These human acts of kindness will give you the happiness of a lifetime and the well wishes of the person you've helped. We people are crabs pull down the one doing good. So the most important thing in this greatest religion is support and help, don't mock and tease.
As I last said No religion teaches misdemeanor, conflict, war it's the people like you and me who breathe war. So first and foremost we must stop discriminating and segregation people on the basis of caste, creed, colour, race and religion and practice only one religion that is HUMANITY.
